Books I’m reviewing this December

I’ve been collecting books on emerging/changing/new ways of being church for ages; now I feel impelled to read them!

We’ve been asked to read and discuss or comment on a Report about Ministers in the Church which appears to be rather a fearful reaction of clergy to the changing church. I’m one who is committed to the ‘priesthood of all believers’ and every member ministry so this is a challenge!

Books on my list

Books I’ve already looked at but need to look again
Mission-shaped Church
Let My People Grow (Greene and Cotterell)
Let My People Grow (Harper)
Planting Mission-shaped churches Tody
Changing Communities
Local Ministry
21st Century Church
Church after Christendom
A Churchless Faith
Church without Walls
New Tasks for a Renewed Church

Books to tackle after those above!
Colonies of heaven
Church of the Isles
Emerging Churches
Mission Implausible
Transforming Communities-reimagining ch..
The provocative Church
Post Christendom

Phew-I feel better just making this list; I hope sharing it with you will help me get down to study!

Phew! Plenty of reading in the same direction here. I think shelfari.com would be a good place for you to put up the books you’ve read and to add comments about what you have made of them.

There are so many books, aren’t there?
